I have heard this encouragement over and over again through the years but can’t really find anything in the Bible to support it. Your thughts?
I’ve heard that said before too, but I don’t think it’s biblical. God certainly cares for us and He loves us immensely.
“But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.”
2 Corinthians 12:9 NIV
We aren’t meant to just rely on ourselves, rather we need God and through our weakness and suffering we can rely on Him more.
In my personal experience, God didn’t call me to be comfortable. I don’t want to be comfortable, because then I wouldn’t feel the need to have God in my life.
