Crossmap’s Community Guidelines

Crossmap.com is a place that encourages people to share their faith and ideas in a safe environment. We believe that thoughtful dialogue on the issues of the day is vital in expressing one’s self through the lens of faith. We believe that if people don’t feel comfortable expressing their views in this forum then a community of discomfort will ensue. The following guidelines will help everyone to have a personally edifying and rewarding experience. Failure to follow these guidelines will be an immediate cause for dismissal from the Crossmap community.

Be Courteous, Be Christ-like

Follow Crossmap.com’s Community Guidelines and Rules, which includes the following.

Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer each person.

Be Constructive, Be Respectful with Your Comments

It’s ok to have a difference of opinion on a given topic, but please make it your top priority to be considerate of other people who post, and be sure to be decent, civil, and respectful. People visit us from all sorts of backgrounds, beliefs, and opinions. It is imperative that we honor our fellow Crossmap Community members with respect.

Show proper respect to everyone, love the family of believers, fear God, honor the emperor.

No Hate Speech

Crossmap.com will not condone or tolerate content that is not compassionate toward another individual or community group due to one’s race, gender, religion, nationality, religious affiliation, ethnicity, political party or group, or Sexual Preference. Please be sure that your comments on these topics are rational and respectful to others.

You shall not take vengeance, nor bear any grudge against the sons of your people, but you shall love your neighbor as yourself; I am the Lord.

No Harassment and Bullying

Under no circumstance should abusive comments or behavior be directed at private individuals. It is not condoned, nor will be allowed. Habitual and repeated contact with an individual is regarded as harassment. Under no circumstances, should posts be threatening or promote violence. Furthermore, they will not include self-harm.

Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.

Respect the Rights of Others

Identity and Deceptive Activity

You are who you say you are. Your Crossmap Community profile should always use truthful and accurate information. Crossmap will not tolerate a user impersonating another person, or pretending to be a different organization or group without that group’s express authorization. Creating multiple accounts with the intention of impersonating someone else is immediate cause for dismissal from the Crossmap Community.

The righteous hate what is false, but the wicked make themselves a stench and bring shame on themselves.

Intellectual Property and Personal Rights

Do not post or repost another person or organization’s content that encroaches upon their intellectual property or personal rights. All content taken from another source must receive appropriate attribution and be block quoted for authenticity. When possible, please provide a link back to where the source was taken from.

An honest witness does not deceive, but a false witness pours out lies.

Respect the Crossmap Community

No Spam

Being simple and to the point, do not use the Crossmap Community to post or attract spam.

No Malicious or Illegal Activity

Under no circumstances will Crossmap Community users be allowed to add viruses, malware, and other malicious computer programs designed to cause harm to or shut down the operation of the Crossmap Community. Anything that seeks to prevent security or authentication malfunction is strictly prohibited. Do not take part in any unlawful activity designed to advocate an illegal act.

For whoever keeps the whole law but fails in one point has become guilty of all of it.

Abide by Crossmap.com’s Other Policies

Follow whatever the current standards and policies are as set forth by Crossmap.com. Crossmap reserves the right to modify, eliminate, or change any policy at any time.

Reporting Problems

Crossmap.com is dedicated to providing the best possible experiences as set forth by the aforementioned guidelines above. If you see something within the Crossmap Community that you believe is in direct violation of our current policies and guidelines as currently construed, please report it to our contact form at moderator@crossmap.com.

Violating any of these policies and guidelines may result in the removal or modification of content as well as the termination of a user’s account to the Crossmap Community.
