Recovering from my trauma

When I was 8 years old I witness my uncle and mom arguing to the point that my uncle wants to stab my mom. I shouted at my uncle and begged him to stop. Luckily our dog at that time is on the side of my mother he was barking at my uncle. Because of our dog, he stop what he did. And I thank God that nothing will happen to my mom.
But that accident left some wounds in my heart from that time I always get scared and nervous.
I told this my Mom when I was in college, She hug me and she cried because of what happen before. It’s giving me some trauma.
But when I started to attend our church learning the word of God. My trauma is disappeared.
I am grateful to God for giving me healing.

Having an abusive family member will lead you to traumatic experiences that will stay for the rest of your life. It’s hard to trust again because you are afraid they will hurt you too. I am glad that you believe in God and that He will help you to recover your fears and trauma. Praying and trusting the Lord will help you conquer every life challenge.
