Jesus assures troubled hearts

John 14:1 (NIV) “Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me.”

Jesus begins by urging His disciples not to let their hearts be troubled. he recognizes that they may be feeling anxious, fearful, or unsettled due to the circumstances they are facing. His words offer comfort and encouragement, reminding them to find peace in Him.

Jesus tells His disciples to believe in God and also in Him. He points them to the foundation of their faith—their trust in God and their trust in Jesus as the Son of God and Savior. This call to belief is a reminder that in times of trouble, their faith in God and in Jesus should be unwavering.

Jesus makes to His disciples, including the assurance of preparing a place for them in His Father’s house and the promise of His return. Jesus encourages His disciples to trust in these promises and find hope and security in them.
