We’ve made it all about us- OUR feelings, OUR health, etc. The church has been so corrupted by the world. Jesus has become merely a means to an end - just accept Him into your heart (just takes a few minutes, after all, there’s better things to do) and start being happy. Get on the rapture bus, ignore the dying lost around you as you smugly wait for your ticket to heaven to be punched.
Jesus is no longer the objective but a means to an end, a way by which we attain what our hearts truly desire. If He is not the desire of your heart, if He is not the object of your pursuit, if He is not your all in all, the enemy succeeded in derailing you from the path.
