I was just diagnosed with Major Depression last month, and now taking prescribed meds and undergoing therapy. The lyrics remind me of God’s unconditional love, that he is mindful of me, and that He sees me, as a part of this nation’s outcry for healing and forgiveness. Oh Lord, help me, free me from these suicidal thoughts.
