Matthew 6:25-34
"Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?
Jesus reminds His disciples not to be overly concerned or anxious about their basic needs like food, drink, and clothing. He points out how God provides for the birds of the air and the flowers of the field.
Jesus encourages them to focus on seeking God’s kingdom and righteousness first, trusting that their needs will be met as they prioritize their relationship with God.
The passage reminds believers to live in the present moment and not to worry excessively about the future, as each day has its own challenges.
This passage encourages faith, trust, and reliance on God’s provision and highlights the importance of seeking God’s kingdom and righteousness above material concerns.
