God is omniscient, which means He knows everything, including our needs, desires, and struggles. He knows us better than we know ourselves. Even before we ask, God is aware of what we need and what is best for us.
In Matthew 6:8 Jesus said, “Your Father knows what you need before you ask him”.
It reminds us that God’s knowledge and understanding are beyond our comprehension. He sees the bigger picture and knows what is truly beneficial for us, even when we may not fully understand ourselves.
Therefore, when we pray, it’s not to inform God of our needs, but rather to express our trust, dependence, and willingness to surrender to His will. Prayer allows us to align our hearts with God’s purposes and seek His guidance and provision. It is a way for us to invite God to work in our lives and to open ourselves to His transformative power.
