2 Corinthians 4:16-18 ~ So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day. For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal.
This passage reminds us not to lose heart, even when we face challenges and difficulties. It encourages us to focus on the eternal perspective rather than being consumed by the temporary troubles of this world. While our physical bodies may be weakening, our inner selves are being renewed day by day through the power of God’s Spirit.
The verse reminds us that our present struggles, no matter how heavy they may feel, are temporary compared to the eternal glory that awaits us. It encourages us to shift our focus from the visible circumstances to the unseen reality of God’s eternal promises and His faithfulness.
Hold on to this truth and find strength in knowing that our current troubles are not in vain. They are working for our ultimate good and are preparing us for the eternal glory that awaits us. Let us fix our eyes on God, trust in His unfailing love, and find hope in the knowledge that He is working all things together for our benefit.
