Anyone want to see “Lewis & Tolkien” at Museum of the Bible?

Hey folks! There’s a new play, Lewis & Tolkien, opening at the Museum of the Bible’s World Stage Theater in Washington, DC. It’s about a late-in-life reunion between C. S. Lewis and J. R. R. Tolkien—a touching exploration of friendship, faith, myth, grief, and reconciliation. The show runs from October 30 to November 30, 2025, for about 90 minutes (no intermission). It’s most Thursdays and Fridays in the evenings, Saturdays (matinee and evening), and Sundays in the afternoons. Tickets are around $35 to $59.

I’m posting this because I’d love to find other local Christians who are interested in going together. It’ll be a great way to connect and chat about the themes of faith, story, and imagination that shaped Lewis and Tolkien’s work.

Interested? Let me know in the comments below with your preferred date(s)/time(s) within October 30–November 30, your budget/section preference (e.g., Balcony vs. Orchestra), and whether you’d like to grab coffee/food before or discuss afterward.
If there’s a clear group, I’ll organize a fun outing and we can grab seats in the same section. If there’s interest for more than one date, we can set up smaller groups.

Here are some thought-provoking questions (optional):

  • What’s your favorite Lewis or Tolkien quote that’s influenced your faith?
  • If you could sit in the Eagle and Child with them for an hour, what would you ask either of them?

Hope we can all make this happen!
